GREAT NEWS! DCNRHS’ Railroad Library Opened September 12, 2026: The Washington, D.C. Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society, Inc. is pleased to advise you that DCNRHS’ Martin F. O’Rourke Railroad Library is now open at our new location at the Kensington Row Bookstore – 3786 Howard Road Kensington, MD. We will have a Grand Opening Celebration in October! Our library is located in old town, in historic Kensington, 2 blocks from Kensington MARC railroad station and directly across from the former B&O RR DC/Chicago mainline.

As part of our library initiative over the last year the name was updated to Martin F. O’Rourke Memorial Railroad Library.
We are Open 11 AM – 5 PM Tues. – Sun. Closed Mondays.
