Public Programs

The programs of DCNRHS are designed to teach and share information about railroading, past and present. Our programs, unless otherwise noted, are free and open to the public. Many programs consist of speakers presenting a topic with audio/visual aids such as pictures, videos, or slides. As of 2020 some of our programs are present online and available via our YouTube Channel.

Inclement Weather Notice

In the event of inclement weather when we are having an in-person program or seminar, our monthly program will be cancelled IF the school district in which the program is being presented is closed for the day or closes early. For Alexandria this is Alexandria City Schools. In general, if you do not feel comfortable driving to our meeting because of weather or other emergency conditions, we recommend you to stay home.
